So if you live in Florida like I do then you know that Florida has some major mood swings at times. The weather especially during this time of year flip flops all of the time. One day it could be sunny and in the mid 70’s the next it will be cloudy and in the mid 50’s to 60’s. So somedays it feels like spring has already started and other days it still feels like Winter. Because of that I am slowly but surely transitioning from winter to spring. So here is how I do that.
CLOTHING
So when its starts to get warmer I’m no longer wearing heavy coats and cardigans. We do still have some cooler mornings but it’s not cold enough to the point where I’m freezing. So I just switch out my heavier coats and cardigans for my more light weight ones. That way I am not sweating but I have still have something to keep me warm enough. These are a few of my favorites.
SHOES
I love my Vans I really do but when its spring and Summer it’s just so much easier to slip on a pair of sandals. These are my favorite sandals and they are a little beat up because I tripped and scuffed up the toe of the shoe. But they are still very wearable and cute.
MAKE UP
During the fall and winter I do like for my eyeshadow to be a little darker with reds and oranges. But during the spring I do lighten it and keep it very simple. I do that by switching from my Too Faced Palette to my Aspyn Ovard palette. As much as I love my darker eyeshadow looks I really love these lighter simpler looks.
Usually my lip color would change too, but I actually didn’t do many dark lipsticks this time. I just stuck to my neutral pinky lipstick. But if I had been using my dark lip stick then since spring is coming I would definitely start to use my neutral lipstick again.
NAIL POLISH
So my nail polish does change through the seasons. I love having a dark red on my nails through the fall and winter. Mostly because I think it is the perfect color for those two seasons. But when spring comes around again like my eyeshadow, my nail polish gets lighter too. One of my favorite light nail polishes is a Essie Gel polish in the color Princes Charming which is like a light pink. My new favorite is another Essie polish in the color Rocky Rose. It is a little more on the orange side but I think it’s perfect for this time of the year.
So here are a few things I change clothing, shoes, make up, and nails. They are small changes but it helps. As much as I love winter these few little things make me excited and happy for the new season. Spring is coming super quickly and it’s time to get ready.
