It’s already March can you believe it? I feel like February just started. So I did a blog post at the end of January where I went through my favorite Instagram post of last month. I talked about why I loved each photo and which ones I had to do a little extra editing to. I decided that since I got a little more in to my Instagram this month I will do it again. Even though it is March 1st I still wanted to do it for February. So here is Behind The Preset for February.
FEBRUARY 4, 2020
So before taking this photo I got this F.R.I.E.N.D.S Central Perk mug and I knew I wanted to use it in a photo. So my first photo idea was to stand in front of my wall with my laptop in hand, with friends on the screen wearing my friends hat, Central Perk shirt and holding the Central Perk mug. But, it was just to much and too hard to take on my own. So I had to simplify the photo by a lot. I still used my my laptop and mug in this photo.
I just made it simpler by sitting on my bed with my fluffy blanket, laptop with friends on the screen, my friends mug and a pair of leggings. In the end I love this photo a lot more than the original idea. It just looks a lot cozier and more relaxed. I added my preset and it was pretty much ready to go. The only extra editing I had to was to my laptop screen because it did look a little overexposed with just the preset itself.

This photo is actually one of my top favorites because of the photo in the photo. The picture I’m holding up in the photo is actually a picture of my older brother and I. I love this picture of us and keep it on my desk. The photo before the preset was a little dark so the little extra editing I had to do to it was just lightening the photo a bit.
FEBRUARY 12, 2020
In this photo I wanted to share a few of my favorite products I use during the spring time. Since they all color coordinated it went very well with my theme. I again did have to do some extra editing to this photo. It was later in the day when I took it so it did come out a little dark and the floor in our living room looked more yellow than it actually is.
So after adding the preset to this photo I did brighten it a bit and turn down the saturation to make it nice and light just how I like it.

This photo is another flat lay style photo with one of my favorite books, a nice snack, and my super fluffy blanket. The book by the way is Tezza’s Insta Style and I am now reading it a third time. I love all the photography in this book so I am going to share one of my favorites. I love this photo because of how simple it is and how it just looks like a nice reading set up.
I again did take this photo later in the afternoon so it was a little darker. After adding my preset the extra editing I had to do was lighten the photo, bring up the shadows, and turn down the saturation. After that it was already for Instagram.

The last photo for this month is another product shot. I had the idea for this photo. Because I got these two new products from IL MAKIAGE and I just wanted a photo of them. So since both products are in black packaging it didn’t go with my theme. I needed to throw some color in to the photo so I again used products I have that are a pink color. To one again add color to the photo and color that goes with my theme.
Again this photo was taken later in the day so it was a little darker and I did have to do some extra editing to it once the preset was on. All I had to do was lighten it and turned down the saturation.
So I know that pretty much all these are not really of me. Which is why I am trying to post more photos of myself and actually take photos of myself this month. But in February I did get a little lazy with it and that’s what I’m trying my best no to do. Anyway I hope you enjoyed this post because I really like doing them. Happy Thursday everybody.
