DAY IN MY LIFE – NEW YEAR’S EVE

Happy new year everyone I hope you all had an amazing New Year’s Eve. I am finally back and blogging after I unintentionally took a year off. I am very excited to be back to blogging especially since I just gave my blog a makeover. However, this post is not about my blog makeover it is about what I did on New Year’s eve. I actually had a fun start to the new year so I thought I would share it with you guys.

11:00 AM

The day started with me going and having brunch with my best friends at Cheesecake Factory. I have had brunch at Cheesecake Factory with my mom before but I’ve never actually gone to brunch with my friends. It was a fun first for us and something I think we should definitely do more often. My favorite brunch menu item to get from Cheesecake is the Belgian waffle with strawberries, pecans, and Chantilly cream. The waffle is always my go to but if for some reason I don’t get the waffle though I get the cuban sandwich with fries or the Margherita flatbread.

Cheesecake is just one of my favorite restaurants right now. We had so much fun at brunch because we don’t always get to see each other in person and it’s always fun catching up with each other. This was also my friends first time having brunch there so it was fun that they got to try it and we had a good time.

3:00 PM

After my brunch and fun afternoon with my friends it was time for Starbucks. My go to drink from Starbucks right now is the iced caramel macchiato. I got it with oat milk for the first time and I liked it a lot better with the oat milk than with out. Once I got home with the drinks I had to edit some pictures for instagram and this blog post. I will say that I love taking pictures but I think that I like editing them a little more.

5:30 PM

At 5:30pm I decided that just as the sun was setting I was going to rush outside and actually take some pictures. Why I waited until the sun was going down and I had to rush to the the pictures I don’t know but I did. Thankfully the pictures actually turned out kinda cute. I’m still editing a few of them but the ones I have edited so far I do like.

8:00 PM

8:00pm friends started to arrive and it was time to start the party. We all just hung outside on our patio with the fire pits going sitting and chatting. It had rained earlier in the day but thankfully by the time we had people over everything was pretty much dry. I don’t have a very large social battery, I’m definitely more an introvert. However, I feel like I still did good at our little party and it was fun.

12:00 AM

Happy New Year ! As the clock struck midnight we all celebrated by telling each other Happy New Year and watching the fireworks we could see from the back yard go off around our neighborhood. What’s funny is most dogs hate fireworks and will hide from them. My little ten pound, four year old dachshund Faith, loves them. She loves watching the fireworks which we figured out on Fourth of July. My dad got us some sparklers to play with even though we did not have the big fireworks to use ourselves we still were happy and had fun with our baby fireworks.

Well that was my very fun New Year’s Eve. It was the first New Year’s Eve I’ve had fun on in awhile so I am very happy with how it turned out. I hope everyone had a fun and safe New Years Eve. This year I am going to try to be much better about blogging. I already have a few blog post written that I am very excited to share with you. I hope you all have a good Sunday and again Happy New Year.
