OMG its been so long since I have done one of these. But since Faith is a year and a half now I figured it was time to do one. I don’t think you understand how much I love my puppy because. She’s just the sweetest little thing and she’s so precious.
So Faith is now a year and a half and she will be two on June 21st. I can’t believe she’s going to be two, I feel like she just turned one it’s crazy. She is still amazing and playful as ever. She is so fun to play with and something she loves now is going on walks. We have to spell the word around her because if we just say walk she runs to the door starts barking and bouncing around wanting to go.
Sadly maybe two weeks ago. she was actually sick for the first time. She ate something she shouldn’t have and it upset her stomach. So my poor little baby was just sad and pitiful. I felt so bad cause I couldn’t really do anything but cuddle her. Which is what she really wanted me to do anyway. Thankfully she is all better now and completely back to normal and she was only really sick for one night. Then after she was just just recovering, but like I said she is back to normal and adorable as always.
Little miss Faith does not like us doing her nails as it freaks her out. So we do take her to Petco to get her nails done. They are able to keep her calm and do her nails quick. It maybe takes them literally three minutes and they’re done. We have no idea why she doesn’t like us doing her nails ourselves. Since the groomers at Petco get it done so quick it’s just easier to take her there.
Since we take her to Petco to get her nails done we have learned that she really loves shopping. It’s so funny so after Faith’s nails are done we take her around the store to get bones and anything else she needs. She runs through the isles looks at the clothes and checks out the toys. Faith loves her treats so she especially loves the treat and bone isles.
So Faith definitely thinks she is a lot bigger than she actually is. She is only ten pounds so she is little and we tell her that all the time. But when we go on walks and see a dog that is definitely bigger than her sometimes she’ll ignore them and sometimes she will bark at them and try to act big and tough. Dachshunds are actually super protective.
I’ve seen videos of people leaving a movie or show on for there puppies when they leave the house. We don’t actually do that for Faith but there is a movie she loves. That is Incredibles 2 and whenever I put it on she will sit on the couch with a bone and watch the movie. She doesn’t usually want the whole thing but she makes till about the middle of the movie before she either falls asleep or gets up to play outside.
We love our little Faith so much she is just so precious. We always say we got really lucky because our first dachshund Mitzi was just as amazing. Faith is so funny, entertaining, and just a joy to be around everyday. She makes us so happy with everything she does. She literally just looks at me and I think she’s amazing. Faith is so precious and a perfect addition to our family. The next puppy update will probably be on her second birthday. I just love sharing about my little puppy.
