Merry Christmas everybody! I hope you all had an amazing Christmas and spent it with all the people you love. Today is not only Christmas but it is my twenty-third birthday. Yes, I was born on Christmas day and no it’s not as bad as some people think it is. I actually really love the fact that my birthday is Christmas day and it just makes me love the holiday even more.
Whenever I tell someone my birthday is Christmas day they usually say that must be a bad day for a birthday since everyone else gets gifts as well. Or, that is so cool to have a birthday on Christmas day. I have to say it’s a lot of fun actually. We obviously celebrate my birthday and Christmas throughout the day. We open our stockings and Christmas presents after breakfast. Then we celebrate my birthday with birthday presents and cake after lunch.
This is exactly what we did today so I’m usually the first one awake. When I was younger like any other kid I would wake up super early and wake everyone else up as well. But now we have a rule that I can’t wake anyone up until 9:30am or 10:00am. But by that time my parents are up already so I just join them then wake my brothers up too.
My older brother actually has his own apartment now so we did have to wait for him to get here before we did anything. But, once he was here the festivities began. Also my brother’s girlfriend actually spent Christmas with us as well and she brought her mom’s new puppy with her which Faith absolutely loved.
So we started the opening of gifts with our stockings first and Faith had one as well. We just got her a big bone and some mini tennis balls for her stocking. In my stocking I got the usual stuff some candy and some beauty items.
Once we were done opening our stockings we moved on to the actual gifts. We opened these gifts so fast I think this year it unintentionally turned into a game of who can open their gifts the fastest. Seriously it was so quick but fun.
For Faith my mom found this little set of three dog toys with sqeakers in them at Kohls. So, that was Faith’s gift even though she didn’t really pay attention to them, because the puppy was here and she was more interested in the puppy. Later on when the puppy left she did play with the toys. Just when the puppy was here she was like nope there is a real toy here I must play with that.
After we were done opening our Christmas gifts we all just relaxed and watched a Christmas movie which was the first Home Alone. Then my brothers’ played video games until lunch time. Lunch is when we began my little birthday party.
Around two thirty we started lunch and the Birthday celebrations. My mom got me an ice cream cake and its so pretty. My brothers girlfriend also brought some mini Christmas themed cupcakes that are all different specialty flavors. Those are really good and super cute as well.
We didn’t leave the cake out long enough before trying to cut it. So, while my dad worked on cutting it my mom let me open my birthday presents. By the time I finished opening my gifts my dad had the cake cut and slices handed out. By the way, the cake was super good. The ice cream in it was mint chocolate chip and the cake itself was vanilla with chocolate filling. When we get an ice-cream cake we always get them from the same place and they’re always good.
After the cake, presents, and birthday celebrations we all moved to the living room to play with the puppies and watch the boys play video games again because watching them gets entertaining. For the rest of the day we literally just all hung out and spent time together really just doing nothing, which I think is one of the best ways to spend Christmas is not do much and just relax with the family
I think my Christmas was pretty amazing and I hope yours was too. We had so much fun yesterday and on Christmas Eve as well. Just spending time with family and eating a lot is always a good time.
I might do a What I got For Christmas post on Sunday. I know some people don’t like these kind of post and some do. I personally like them because I get gift cards and a little money for Christmas as do most people. So I find this as the time to do a little after Christmas shopping for myself. But, if I don’t do that then this will sadly be my last Christmas themed post. So Merry Christmas everyone I hope your Christmas was amazing and filled with happiness.
