Hello everyone long time no talk! Since this is the first blog post I have posted since October 2020 I’m going to start this by saying that I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas, New Year and I hope you are having a perfect Valentines Day. I seriously lost the motivation to blog towards the end of 2020. Now the motivation is finally back and I am so excited about that because I love blogging. I figured in this post I would talk about how this year has been so far because some exciting things have already happened, so lets get in to it.
MY OLDER BROTHERS WEDDING
To start off my older brother got married on February 5, 2021 and I now have an amazing beautiful sister in law. The wedding was absolutely beautiful and everything they wanted. I feel like once Christmas was over we were constantly busy doing something for the wedding. Once we entered the wedding week it was definitely crazy but still very exciting. We all had an amazing time and made some great memories. One of my favorite memories is actually the morning of the wedding when my older and younger brothers came over to our Air BnB to spend time with us before we started getting ready for the day. All the groomsmen came over late in the morning to get ready and watching that was amazing too.
Another favorite memory of mine is my younger brothers best man speech because it was perfect. One more favorite memory of mine was getting to see my older brother and sister in law so happy and so in love with each other. It really was the sweetest thing to see and everyone was just happy because of them. My best friend of fourteen years who at this point it basically family and a sister to me was able to come to the wedding and experience all the joy we were feeling. My best friend and I also have pretty much no photos together because she does not like being in pictures. Since we were both dressed up for the wedding I did make her take one with me so I could have one so this is the photo we got and I love it.
OPENING AN ETSY SHOP
I will be explaining this in another blog post next Sunday but I am opening a Etsy shop. In this Etsy shop I will be selling stickers, art prints, and there’s more to come. I am so excited to finally open this shop. I originally planned on opening this shop in January but with all the wedding stuff going on, I figured it would be better to open it after the wedding. Now that the wedding is over and things have calmed down I can get back on track. My Etsy shop Jordyn+Rose will be opening February 22, 2021.
I GOT MY SECOND PIERCING
I got my second ear piercing and this is something I’ve wanted for over a year. The decision to get it was not spontaneous but the actual getting it was. I actually got it the same weekend of the wedding on February 6, 2021. Heres what happened- the area where the wedding venue was is a forty-five minute drive from our house. On a normal day when we are just going to hang out in that area the forty-five minute drive is not a problem but we wanted to be near the wedding venue. We all got Air BnB’s in the area for the week to be close to the wedding events. In the area there is a outlet mall/outdoor shopping center. My aunts were also with us from South Carolina for the wedding.
One of my Aunts since she hasn’t been in Florida for years wanted to check out the outlet mall. Saturday morning, February 6, my mom, aunt, and I decided to head to the outlet mall to go shopping. We started with the outdoor shopping center first then made our way to the indoor mall. When we got over to that area there were a few stores my aunt wanted to go in. While we were there I noticed there was a Piercing Pagoda sign. Before anyone ask, yes I got this piercing with a piercing gun. This is my second piercing my first one was done with a piercing gun as well. I prefer the piercing gun because it is quicker and easier I know there is a lot of hate towards it. I like it better so that is what I decided to go with. My ears are completely fine and the piercings are healing and there’s no swelling or irritation. I’m keeping them clean and sanitized I just wanted to get that out the way because again I know there is a lot of hate toward the piercing gun.
Anyway moving on since I noticed the Piercing Pagoda and I mentioned to my mom that I wanted to get my second piercing done sometime. However, the one at the mall near us was closed for months because of covid. My aunt heard me when I mentioned it to my mom and said ” You want your second piercing, let’s do it now I’ll pay for it.” So we walked over to Piercing Pagoda kind of intending to only look then the next thing I know I’m in the chair getting pierced. The girl who pierced my ears was very nice the whole time so I didn’t feel nervous like my mom thought I would. I am very thankful to my aunt who paid for the piercing because I absolutely love them.
I should again point out that all of this has happened and it is only February. This year has started off amazingly and with the year we had last year I hope it stays amazing. So many memories have already been made and exciting things have happened. I just love how this year has started. I hope you are all having a great start to 2021 as well.
