WHAT TIME IS IT ? … SUMMER TIME
It is that time of the year we all love where we get to go on vacations, the beach, pool and just have fun. There are a few things on my essential list this Summer from clothing to sunscreen and accessories. So today I’m going to share that list with you.
A reusable water bottle is great in the heat because we all know that Summer is hot especially here in Florida. We hit record heat for the first time in three years about two weeks ago. If you’re like me then you have to have a cute water bottle to actually make you drink water. I always feel more motivated to drink water with a cute water bottle than with just a normal bottle. I don’t know why that is but I recently got my self a hydro flask. I know that’s really basic but it’s so cute and I love it. My hydro flask is the 32oz and in the color lilac. I have definitely been drinking a lot more water than before with this water bottle and staying hydrated on these insanely hot days.
I’m a nanny so during the summer I spend a lot of time outside in the sun with the kids. Since I’m in the sun a good sunscreen is very important. My favorite sunscreen brand is Hawaiian Tropic and my current favorite one of them is the Silk Hydration. My skin just gets dry so easily and I feel like other sunscreens make my skin feel weird. So this silk hydration one feels so nice on my skin and my skin is not only protected from the sun it is also getting hydrated when I use this.
Having at least one really comfortable casual dress to wear during the summer is a great a great thing to have. I actually have a few of these dresses and just recently got another one. It’s nice for the days when you wan to stay cool and comfy. Also for when you really just don’t want to wear shorts or jeans.
Sunglasses are one of the best accessories to have anytime of they year but especially summer. I actually got a pair I really love in my Spring Fab Fit Fun box a few months ago. They just feel a lot better and feel very sturdy also not so flimsy to the point they would break easily.
I feel like swimsuits just get cuter every year so having a cute swimsuit is defiantly a essential to have this Summer. I got mine from Aerie like I usually do and I love it. The top is a one shoulder with a cute blue, red, and white pattern on it. I just got some plain red bikini bottoms to match since I didn’t really like the high waisted bottoms that were made to go with the top.
Have I mentioned my hat obsession because I have quite a few dad/baseball hats. They are perfect for the summer to keep the sun out of you’re face. Or just for when you’re having a bad hair day. I wear mine when I haven’t washed my hair. I just love them and like I said I have a few so I do wear them a lot.
Sandals are so good for the summer and so easy to just slip on when you’re in a hurry. I have about three pairs I switch between right now but my go to are just my simple black ones. They’re my go to because one they go with everything and two they are the easiest pair to just slip on when I am on my way out the door. So having at least one pair of a sandals for the summer is a great idea.
Chapstick is good anytime of the year but one with a SPF in it is perfect for the summer. Believe it or not your lips can get sunburned so using a chapstick with an SPF or sunscreen that is specifically made for you’re face is something that you should be using. I know SunBum has a line of SPF chapsticks that you can find anywhere that sells sunscreen.
Mario Badescu facial spray or any face spray is so nice for the summer. On the days I’m not wearing makeup or light makeup I spray my face with the rose water a few times a day. After I’ve been outside it the heat it is just feel very refreshing and cool.
Hair ties , scrunchies. even the phone cord hair ties what ever you like it is a necessity to keep one with you. It’s hot and having your hair just sitting on you’re neck when it’s hot is not comfortable at all. I always have a hair tie or two on my wrist for anytime of the day. Even if you don’t want to use the hair tie for your hair you could use it to tie up your shirt too. It’s just good to always have hair tie with you.
So this is my list of summer essentials for 2019. I am so excited that it is summer. I also have the whole week off from work because the kids I nanny are going on vacation so I am super excited for that also.
