Christmas To-Do List

It’s Christmas time and I am so excited not just because my Birthday is the same day, but because I just love this holiday and this time of the year. There are so many things I want to do this time of the year so that is why I have a list. These are my top five but they are my top five I do or try to do every year.

1. Baking cookies is something I can’t  wait to start doing especially my Nana’s sugar cookies. My nana has a special sugar cookie recipe that I have been making on my own for awhile now. But, they are delicious and we look forward to them every year. They are a cookie I could make year round but because I only have Christmas cookies cutters right now I just make them for Christmas.

2. Decorations are going up around my neighborhood now which means it’s time to walk around and see Christmas lights. There is a neighborhood maybe five minutes away from where we live that has amazing lights and it is always beautiful. This neighborhood is where we usually drive around to see all the lights. It is something everyone always wants to see so if you go Christmas Eve or Christmas Day it will take you a few hours to get through the neighborhood. But, if you go a week before Christmas you can get through quickly and easily. So that is what we usually do.

3. Any type of Christmas activity/celebration I love. They just make me happy and excited for the holidays. Every year at a few different locations around us there are tree lightings. If you don’t know what a tree lighting is, which I’m pretty sure most of you do, it usually where somewhere in town like a shopping center has a big Christmas tree and they have a party to celebrate turning the lights on for the first time. I have already been to one but there is another tree lighting a little further away from me that my friends and I might go to.

4. Christmas movie marathons are something I start doing in October. Christmas movies make me happy and put me in such a good mood for the holidays. Some of my favorite Christmas movies are Christmas Vacation, th Home Alone, and Santa Clause movies and more. I probably watch at least one Christmas movie a day which will annoy my family sometimes, but it makes me happy.

5. Since I love photography and Christmas every year I automatically want to have a Christmas/winter themed photo shoot. It is a lot of fun to do this especially when I can do this with my friends. Obviously a photo shoot can be done on your own with a tripod but it is a lot more entertaining with friends. I just love doing seasonal/holiday photoshoots so this is definitely one of the things at the top of my todo list.

Christmas is coming and its coming fast there are so many things I want to do during this beautiful season. So that’s why I love having a list to keep track of everything I want to do.
